Internet marketing forms such an integral part of any internet business, so I thought I should list some of what I consider to be the top internet marketing techniques, and the ones I incorporate in my own internet business ventures.

1. Content

This is by far the most important aspect of getting traffic to your site, I know I know I said outrageous but before you call me a lair let me explain myself. Writing great content is marketing on its own, imagine someone accidentally stumbles on to your site and instantly like whats on it, then its referred to someone else and it starts a chain, then this people often comeback to see if you’ve posted anything to inform and entertain them again. That’s outrageous!! Remember the average internet user has no patience, so always try and keep it has short and interesting as possible.

2. Search Engine Optimization

The Internet is huge, and the only way to find some specific and relevant information is to search via the search engines like Google. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can help you increase your online visibility to a great extent. Various SEO tools and techniques are used to help you drive more traffic to your website, and helping more and more people find your business.
In order to help people find you on the search engine, you should optimize your wholesale business website and acquire some back links to get on the first page for your targeted keywords. Remember that no one bothers to go beyond the first 10 results. There are various tools and techniques that can be used for this purpose. Bear in mind that these techniques keep on changing since the search engines are constantly working on ways to improve their service. So, you must always try and stay abreast with the changing SEO techniques.

3.Relationship list building through email marketing

Details from people i.e. email addresses, captured through your site should be logged. The list is then used to respond back to the people as a way to provide more information. Using a method of autoresponders is a quick way of doing this.

Autoresponders help with personal branding, but also helps you build that connection with people. However, there is an art to this. This is a great way to introduce your product/service with the prospect, but done in a number of stages. In other words, rather than go for the sale from the outset, lead in your prospects gently.

4. Modernize your approach

Are you still using outdated techniques or are you trying new things as they come out? If you want to take your earnings from internet marketing to the next level you need to start implementing some of the new marketing techniques that are available to you.

Don’t try to do everything at once. Choose something new to learn about and execute every month or two. Read everything you can about it and think about how it applies to your own business. Consider twisting it around and making it your own to get even more value from it.

Some of the things you could put into action in your marketing strategy to make it more up-to-date include:

Giving your site or blog a more modern look; when was the last time you updated your blog theme?
Getting more involved in social networking; make a bigger effort to interact and provide value.
Including social media graphics on your site or blog; if people don’t know where to find you they won’t go looking for you!
Learning about and applying more current SEO techniques
Taking advantage of video marketing
Learning how to implement and utilize your subscribers list; remember to provide your subscribers with value!

5. Start Page Programs Or Traffic Exchange

This is a technique that even experienced online marketers have forgotten about, these are free programs that will allow you to advertise your site to other members, all you have to do is view other members site. Simple enough and more outrageously its free advertisement!!
