I want to share the story with the title name of   “Online magazine offers less than 2c a word to freelancers”.

BreatheMagazine.com, which will be launched by April, is offering 1.7c a word. In last year’s national freelance rates, journalists’ union recommended 93c a word.

The Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) criticised the offer by the magazine’s owner, boutique online publisher Flujo, which asks writers to agree to a minimum of six articles a month in the hope of securing one of three full-time writing positions at the end of the trial. Read more →
