How to Create a Good Business Blog
An effective business blog article will attract and retain the attention of your target audience and should provide them with sufficient information and solutions to influence their decision making process in your favour over time. Lets see the some tips here to create an effective business blog.
Start with a topic you’re passionate about
This is your theme, the thread that will run through your blog. You better be passionate about it because you’ll be chipping away at it for months. Yup, that’s the bad news. It takes time to build your blog into something worth reading. It’s the accumulation of posts (or entries) over a period of months or longer that will set you apart as a real blogger.
Ideally, your topic should be related to your job hunt. If you’re searching for a position in sales, for example, you might develop a blog that focuses on “the close.” All the different ways to get there; what works and what doesn’t; examples or case studies based on your current experience, etc.
Use an image
It adds interest. Particularly if you have a human interest photo that could be included. If not, use a stock photo that relates to the story.
Nature of Blog
Keep in mind the nature of blog traffic; according to research firm comScore Networks, “Because blogs often source their visitors from search engines or links from other sites (often other blogs), many draw relatively large audiences that visit infrequently.” This means that each post has to add some value in and of itself. If you refer to a previous post in your blog, provide the link to it. Posts don’t need to be long, they just need to be useful.
Make sure you have key elements in place
There are some key structural elements in your blog that you want to make sure you have such as a profile to help your readers easily identify whose blog they are reading and a way to contact you, and a prominent positioning of your RSS feed to allow them to subscribe.
