While signed into your Google+ account, you will find the option to start a Hangout on the right side of your screen.
Selecting the ‘start a hangout’ button will open a new window where you can invite others and begin your hangout. You can easily add groups of people by inviting circles rather than individuals.
In the new window, you can now select individuals or circles of people to invite to your hangout. Once you enter individuals or circles of people you wish to hangout with, you can now select the green ‘hang out’ button. Don’t forget to turn on your camera and microphone!
At the bottom of the window, you will notice the option to Try Hangouts with extras. This option is similar to the original Hangout with some added features that include:
How to Use Google HangOut
Click on Google HangOut. A menu box comes up. On the top it very kindly says, “Check your hair and make sure your mic works.” In addition, a video of you sitting at your computer comes up immediately as your camera goes live. Below that, it asks who you want to hang out with and then gives you the option of your various circles plus another tab that says, “Add more people.” The “Add More People” tab just leads you back to all your circles though. So, it you’ll have to select circles of ten people or less. After you’ve selected the friends, clients, or whoever you want to hangout with, click on the “HangOut’ tab. Those that are there will immediately come up. The HangOut feature brings up the video of whoever is talking.
