Valuable Tips for Amateur Photographers
Here I leave the technical tips of photographing who has been asked to photograph at beginning stage. By practicing these tips, you can master the art of photography in no time.
Don’t start off with an expensive camera
Start off with a simple point and shoot and starting taking photos. This way you will be able to learn the basics of a simplistic camera. Once you feel comfortable with the camera and you feel that you have the hang of composition and depth of field, you should think about buying a more expensive camera.
Technique
By default, bokeh shapes are only circular in shape (owing to the fact that the shape of your lens is circular). But can we also make custom bokeh shapes? Well, yes that’s possible and for that you need the following:
Camera lens (preferbly large aperture),
Cardboard sheet
Some duct tape.
To start with, draw any shape which you want in the middle of the cardboard sheet and cut that portion out. Next, wrap the remaining cardboard sheet around your camera lens carefully and with little practice.
Go with a Wide Angle
Shooting with a wide angle lens attached to your camera can help create some memorable shots when you’re doing portrait photography.
At very wide focal lengths you can create some wonderful distortion. It can also give a wide open and dramatic impact when your subject is in an impressive setting.
Photography happens unexpectedly
Carry your camera always with you. Some of the best snaps are usually captured at times when you least expect them.
Say Farewell to Color
Before you dive into color, buy a few rolls of T-Max 400 (great B&W film) and see if taking it back to the basics changes your interpretation of the world around you. You know it’s time to upgrade to taking color images when you can print a black and white image that has pure black, pure white and every tone in between. Taking photos in black and white will force your mind to think less about the “image” and more about the importance of how light interacts with the objects in the frame.
Know your camera Flash range
Small aircraft have rarely sufficient strength in the flash range. Remember that digital cameras will not compact over two, three meters. When you use the flash, go closer to the person so you get lightning sufficient and do not receive the darker images.
